We didn't start this service as a business venture. We started it because, as parents and educators, we were desperately searching for a lifeline for our own children.

Welcome to online-schools.co.uk. We are Pete and Victoria, founders of this platform, but first and foremost, we are the parents of two very different, wonderful children aged 7 and 13.

Our journey into the world of online education began not out of curiosity, but out of necessity. We were watching the traditional mainstream school system fail both of our children, despite them having completely opposite needs.

The View from the Inside

Victoria is a qualified teacher here in the UK. She has spent years inside the mainstream system, and she saw firsthand the realities that parents only hear whispers about at the school gates. Class sizes are swelling to unmanageable numbers, and dedicated teachers are stretched to their absolute breaking point.

Because there is a severe shortage of places in dedicated special educational needs (SEN) schools, mainstream classrooms are frequently asked to integrate children with profound, complex needs without the proper funding or support staff. Additionally, our local area recently saw a significant influx of families relocating from abroad. At home, we were living this crisis every day. Our youngest son (7) is highly academically capable. In a classroom of 30, he was constantly waiting for others to catch up.
